Lesson Program
At Equilibrium we work to provide students with the optimal learning environment. Our comprehensive program includes lectures, clinics and riding lessons. The curriculum is geared towards the first time rider as well as the serious upper-level competitor. Certified instructors can assist you with your personal riding goals in hunt seat, jumping, dressage, eventing and trail riding.
Boarding
Centrally located on over 80 acres, Equilibrium can accommodate all of your riding needs. We provide everything from wonderful camaraderie and horse care to corrective and upper level training needs. The facility has been built with the student rider in mind. A large indoor arena, outdoor dressage arena, lighted sand arena and 36-jump cross-country course provide us with ample training grounds. Come for a tour and see for yourself!
Dressage
Director Kathleen Harjess accepts a limited number of serious-minded students and their horses to partake in seminars and classroom lectures in advanced Dressage. These courses, which are held at various intervals throughout the year, are given by Erik Herbermann, author of "The Dressage Formula," a teacher who has gained international recognition and respect for his staunch propagation of classical riding principles, those based solely on the nature of the horse. Summer Camp
What could be more wonderful than a summer with a beloved horse or pony? Children 6-16 are invited to mix fun, games, horses, friends and education to produce life-long memories. First-time riders are welcome.
Equilibrium Horse Shows
Equilibrium hosts shows year round. Hunter Shows, Dressage Shows and Horse Trials, call for dates and entry forms.
Cross-Country Course
We can prepare and train you for the Eventing field. Our course on 83 acres of field and forest accommodates Pre-novice through Preliminary disciplines. Schools over our jumps which include: Helinski, ditch, log, tires, banks, ramps and bridge-over-water. Staff supervision, Coggins and reservations required. Join our Cross-country Clinics.
Show Teams
The horse show setting is a great place for learning, fun and friendship. Compete to stay on the cutting edge in the Hunter, Jumper, Dressage and Event field, call to join one of our teams.
Horse Leases and Extra Rides
At Equilibrium, we have a few select horses available for lease or for extra rides. This program offers you an opportunity to practice on your own.
Open House and Happenings

Birthday Party
We specialize in planning and producing exciting and memorable birthday parties.
Pony parties can take place in our lecture hall or at your home (depending on your location). Our ponies are happy to please and give each child a fun ride.
Adult Camps
Are you looking for a fun weekend with intensive riding and equine studies? The adult weekends are a forum for a small number of adults who will benefit from close and careful attention from a certified instructor. Each adult will work with a horse to achieve his or her established goal.
Holiday Gifts
Equilibrium offers certificates that allow you to participate in equestrian events. This gift is a unique and exciting highlight for birthdays, Christmas stockings or any other special occasion.
Trail Riding
Come enjoy a scenic trail ride! With a four legged friend you can explore the gorgeous fields and wooded trails with your tour guide. All riders are geared to the level of the riders so they can be leisurely or challenging. Our Pack and Trail Clinics culminate with a Spring over night trip!
