Hunter Series Rules, etc.

 
1. Champion, reserve and 3rd to 6th place ribbons will be awarded for each division at the final show.
2. Trophies will be awarded for champion and reserve as well.
3. Points toward series awards can be accumulated at any number of shows.
4. Hunter & Pleasure divisions: The horse gains the points and the rider can change.  Ribbons and Trophies will be awarded to the owner.
5. Equitation divisions: The rider gains the points and the horse can change.  Ribbons and trophies will be awarded to the rider.
6. Points from each show will only count if the entrant competed in all classes of the division.
7. Points are as follows:
  • 1st -  15 points
  • 2nd - 10 points
  • 3rd -  5 points
  • 4th -  4 points
  • 5th -  3 points
  • 6th -  2 points
  • Champion of Division at Show - 20 additional points
  • Reserve Champion of Div at Show - 12 additional points
8. There will be Trophies, Champion, Reserve Champion and 3rd - 6th ribbons awarded for the Pony Hunter Model, Hunter Model and Leadline exhibitors that accumulate the most points in these classes at each show.  Point accumulation will be similar to Rule #7, except there will be no Champion and Reserve Champion points.
9. No rider may remount and continue competing in a class in which the rider has fallen off the horse.
